No Place Like Home for the Holidays

I generally do not like Christmas. Why, asks you, the anonymous reader of my blog? Because the majority of my Christmases have been with my family, quiet nights, taking turns opening lame presents, maybe a Christmas dinner, usually a fight or two, and the rest in a Wholly Awkward Silent Night.

This Christmas, however, was the best one I've had in memory. We ended up going to Katie's parent's and grandparent's house. There was great food and fun and family, none of whom I was related to. We played board games, ball games, outside games, and video games. It was like a fairytale Christmas. Presents... well, you know that scene in Home Alone 2 where the family wakes up and there is a huge Christmas tree in the lobby of their room with tons of toys? Well, this was bigger and grander. There were so many presents that it took up a whole corner of a room. It was insane.

All in all, I had a great time. I got a few cool gifts, but, to me, the best gift was having the best Christmas I've ever had. Click Here to Read More..
